1 John 4:9 (KJV) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

What a thought! God actually loves us so much, that He sent His only begotten Son to this earth. He did it for the express purpose of providing a way for us to have communion with Him. It is only through Jesus Christ and what He did at Calvary that we can have true life, because we live through Him, as He lives through us.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (KJV) (18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain  conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  (19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

It took something special to redeem you back to God. Your redemption could not be purchased with silver, gold, or any other precious substance. It took the blood of Jesus! The lifestyle that you live because of religious traditions cannot redeem you! It takes the blood of Jesus! Jesus is the one and only Lamb of God! He is the one and only sacrifice for sin!

Titus 3:5 (KJV) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

It is absolutely impossible for man to perform works of righteousness in order to be saved. It is only because and through the blood shed on the cross of Calvary that we can receive salvation. The blood of Jesus washes away our sin and regenerates us. It is actually the Holy Ghost who carries out the work of regeneration, but only through the blood of Jesus. This is done when we exhibit faith in Jesus Christ and what He did at Calvary.

2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Oh, the promises of God! Those precious promises found in the Bible hold the answers to all of life's problems. The very first promise is that He will implant His nature in you. This comes to everyone at the time they are born again. This verse describes the salvation experience of the sinner, and the sanctification of the saint.
